I was dealing with a very difficult person who did not want to get divorced, who didn’t want to give up any money, he did not want to cooperate at all. I wanted a divorce and I needed to find a good attorney. I would ask other people who had been divorced, “Would you recommend the divorce attorney?” For 10 years, no person ever recommended anybody, until I had someone recommend Ted. Ted’s office was always very responsive to any of my questions and any of my problems. That first meeting with Ted, I felt that he understood where I was coming from. I had been in a long-term marriage over 20 years. Our daughter was going to go to college in nine months, and Ted was in agreement with me that I should wait until she was out of the house before going forth. Some other people didn’t understand that, but Ted understood that. So Ted and the staff did the best they could to help me get through this difficult time.

What I appreciated along the process is that even though we did a lot of litigation, Ted still tried to settle it through mediation and was able to actually settle the divorce without further litigation. My divorce was finalized in November of 2019. The ultimate outcome I got was to be able to retain the house, and the equity in the house, and to live in the house. That’s what Ted was hoping for me from the beginning, that’s what I wanted as well, and that’s where I’m at. If your soon-to-be ex-spouse is going to be somebody that is not going to cooperate, Ted is the attorney for you.
